My experience here at Roosevelt has been so eventful because it has provided me with many opportunities for my future career. They are known as the school of the arts but also by the pathways they provide. Currently at Roosevelt, i am part of the public service where i have been involved more in my community and learned more about our government than ever before. This has helped me see a career in law enforcement once i complete college.

During my time in high school, participating in girls volleyball was the best adventure. The combination of intense matches and strong bonds with teammates made every moment fillled with enthusiasm and commitment. The relationships with teammates grew into a tight bond and felt like family. The worst experience was during my junior year. In a class discussion, I was put on the spot by the teacher, who pressured me to speak up despite my discomfort. This forced interaction left me feeling embarrassed and undetermined, heavily impacting my confidence and making it challenging to participate in subsequent classes with that teacher. Over time, the stress became overwhelming, leading me to transfer to a different class where I felt valued and supported. Though it was a difficult decision, it enabled me to concentrate on my studies in a more supportive and encouraging place. I’d like to see a change in the behaviors of the staffs and teachers so students feel like they are at home.

I've been going to Roosevelt high school for the past 4 years, overall, I really enjoyed my time at Roosevelt. Roosevelt is the high school that focuses of arts, it's the school of the arts, I really love that they have a variety of different courses and careers a student can pursue. Suh as theater, dance, fashion and design, business, public service, and medical. I would say the school does a good job when it comes to teaching their students, all the teachers are great and always helpful whenever it comes to a student in need of help. I do wish they would have more school activities but other than that I have nothing bad to say about my school, it's not perfect but I would like to think it's great school.

Roosevelt high school is not a bad school in the slightest, but like every place there are definitely things that need to be improved. During my time on campus, I noticed that the campus seemed to exceed in getting students involved in sports or any of the arts that are provided on campus. Although more recently I have notice that they do a very poor job of letting student know of important events ahead of time. There were a few occasions where they let senior know about big scholarships the same week of the deadline. In conclusion if Roosevelt administration should/could improve on anything on campus it needs to be their communication, because they keep on cutting it really close.

Roosevelt High School is a great school to attend, especially if you are interested in arts, such as music, dance, and art. Roosevelt has a special magnet program that is called Roosevelt School of the Arts (RSA) that many students from different schools apply to be a part of the program that has different styles of music, dance, and art classes available.

The best parts were being able to represent the school and join amazing pathways and sports. Having supporting teachers and counselors helped me not stress a lot over high school.

I have only been here for senior year and I can honestly say that I’ve had more opportunities here than I ever had at my previous school. The teachers and my counselor especially has been so much help, I couldn’t have made it without them. The students are kind, I made friends fairly quick and I joined Ecology club which was so much fun. This is a great school.

It's an average public high school. It has a good arts program with many different departments but the leadership is all over the place and isn't as good as it used to .

Roosevelt is such a diverse school I enjoy being there. We make sure to keep our culture in touch. Academics are great there are a lot of opportunities in the school to help you out with grades and stay focused in school. You see a little bit of everything when it comes to race, you don’t feel out of place. Counselors do tend to hold your hand a little when it comes to college readiness but it goes to show how much they care about you and help you. There are so many activities and clubs you can join so you won’t feel left out. Sports are great we have a lot of dedicated coaches who are willing to put in work to make the team better, they make sure to stay on top of your grades, coaches also have connections to help you out his incase you would like you play in college. Teachers are the most supporting and understanding people you will meet on campus. They actually care for you and that is really rare to find in school. Over all Roosevelt high school is such an incredible school.

If I had to take every school year from freshman to senior the school will always give you at least one teacher who doesn't agree with you in some way, shape, and form. Whether it be their teaching style, lack of awareness of student needs and backgrounds, outright badgering and assault of their students, or a cruel sense of superiority over those same students can put off even the most stoic of students. In a good year, it's only one out of six or seven: however, an average year can get an unsuspecting student three to four of these teachers with little hope to transfer without upending their daily routines.

Not very much diversity students are sometimes rude and racist. Hard for a black student. Not a lot of African Americans so it's hard to connect with people who understand your struggle.

Roosevelt has opened up my horizons! Coming from a K-8 school that had such little diversity, I had been ashamed of my heritage; made fun of food, language, and culture. Attending Roosevelt led me to continue my mariachi years and introduced me to folklorico. Which I am happy to say that this year marks seven years doing mariachi and my third year dancing folklorico.

I really liked the atmosphere at Roosevelt High and how the staff and administration really cared for their students. They were extremely helpful and always wanted the best for their students. The teachers made sure that they taught every lesson well and that they were available for any help if a student needed it.
